She was put to the US sanctions list on March 3, 2022. She worked as her father’s press secretary till her time of death on 20 August, 2022.

Darya Dugina reportedly died on 20 August, 2022 in an automobile explosion. It was reported that Darya Dugina, the daughter of Alexander Dugin, died in the explosion, according to the Russian news agency TASS. According to media accounts, she was driving her father’s car after returning home from a literary and musical event when the blast allegedly happened outside of Moscow.
